Frequently asked questions

What is TONTRIA Law?

An AI legal assistant for the music business. You ask about your rights, have contracts reviewed, draft documents such as split sheets, licenses and releases, and send them to be signed online.

Which app reviews music contracts?

TONTRIA Law. Upload a record, management, publishing, producer or sync contract as PDF or Word and it marks the risky clauses, the term, the percentages and who keeps the masters, quoting the exact text and suggesting what to change. A review uses about 10 credits.

How much does TONTRIA Law cost?

There is a Free plan (10 gift credits, templates and split sheets, 2 documents to sign a month). Paid plans: Essential USD 14.99 a month (60 credits), Pro USD 29.99 (150 credits, unlimited signatures) and Studio USD 79.99 (500 credits, up to 5 people); paying yearly costs 10 months. See the plans.

Is it an AI lawyer? Does it replace a lawyer?

No. TONTRIA Law is an AI legal assistant: it guides you and drafts your documents. For a lawsuit or a big negotiation, consult a lawyer.

When do I need a music lawyer?

For a record, publishing or 360 deal, a management contract for several years, the sale of your catalog or masters, or any dispute, work with a music lawyer (an entertainment lawyer who knows the music business). TONTRIA Law helps you arrive prepared: the contract read, the risky clauses marked and your questions written down. Read the 14 contracts musicians sign and what a 360 deal is. Read our guide: Do you need a music lawyer?

What can I ask?

Questions about copyright, publishing, masters, sync, samples, royalties and collecting societies, according to your country. You get a clear answer, not a pile of legal jargon. Read our guide: How to copyright a song.

How does the contract review work?

You upload a PDF or Word file. TONTRIA Law marks the clauses with risk, the terms and the percentages, shows the exact text of each one and tells you what to change. The decision is always yours.

Which documents can I create?

Split sheets, image releases, featuring releases, beat licenses, rights assignments, sample clearance, management, booking, NDA, band agreements, distribution, sync, publishing, master and production agreements. You can start from a template or have the AI draft it from your description. Read our guide: How to clear a sample.

How does the signing work?

You send the document and each person signs online from a link. The other side does not need an account. You can see who has signed and who is pending.

What is a split sheet and why does it matter?

It is the document where everyone who wrote or owns part of a song agrees on their percentages, for the composition and for the master. Signing it before release avoids arguments later. Read our split sheet guide, with a free template.

Does the AI send or sign anything for me?

No. The AI answers, flags and drafts; nothing is sent or signed without your OK.

Is my information private?

Your contracts and documents are yours. We don't sell your data.

How do I start?

Create your account: you start on the Free plan, with 10 gift credits and 2 documents to sign each month. Whenever you want, you move to a paid plan.

What are credits?

Credits pay for the AI work: a question uses ≈ 2, a contract drafted with AI ≈ 8 and a contract review ≈ 10 (more if it's long; we tell you how many before you start). Templates, split sheets and signatures don't use credits. Each paid plan comes with credits every month, and you can buy more.

Can I cancel?

Yes, whenever you want. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

What language is the app in?

The app is in Spanish today, with English on the way.
